About Andrew Waring Associates

The Practice is committed to a high quality work ethic and believes in an innovative yet pragmatic approach to structural engineering.

Considerable emphasis is placed on our professionalism and quality of personal service to clients and architects alike; to this end all projects are personally overseen to completion by a senior member of the practice. This approach ensures our work is of a high quality and enables projects to be completed on time and to budget. The high number of repeat clients is testament to the success of this philosophy.

The work of the Practice is very broadly based including refurbishment and new build projects. This work encompasses industrial, retail, hospitals, health centres, offices, sports and leisure facilities, including the associated civil engineering and drainage design.

We also have a very strong record of building conservation and design work allied to existing buildings, such as conversion, extension and change of use.

We are respected for our expertise in relation to major conservation projects involving both ecclesiastical and secular historic buildings. This work includes a number of cathedrals, abbeys and churches in the UK, as well as many Grade 1, 2 and 2* listed buildings.

The Practice has particular expertise in a number of specialist niche areas in the industry. These include music studios, large industrial concrete floor slab design, oak framing and glue-laminated timber design.

We also conduct a significant amount of survey work and also forensic inspection and reporting in relation to building failures.
