Software & Design
The Practice has invested continuously in both software and hardware since its inception, all of which is fully licensed and supported.
We use Bentley Microstation as the main CAD software package in the office; this system offers a high degree of sophistication working in both 2 and 3D and integrates with other widely used programmes.
More recently we have become BIM (Building Information Modelling) literate with the use of REVIT. This allows close co-ordination, integration and information exchange with other disciplines involved in the project. Other benefits are a quicker exchange of information, together with dovetailed structural analysis input.
On the design and analysis front we utilise a number of well known design software and programmes including Superstress, Tedds and Building Designer.
The Practice uses ORION, an excellent FEM package which we have adapted to provide accurate and economic design solutions for pile supported concrete slabs and raft foundations.
